Our story

What is the Redding Grange?

Redding Grange is dedicated to community service and bringing the people of our town together. As one of the oldest organizations in the United States, the Grange means different things to different people, with the common thread of camaraderie and a sense of contributing to the community.

Redding Grange is a local, and independently incorporated, chapter of the National Grange. Founded in 1867 as a coalition for farmers, the National Grange has evolved over the years to support community building, and agricultural awareness. Redding Grange owns and operates its own historic Grange Hall located at 399 Newtown Turnpike in Redding, CT.

Re-organized in 2021 by a group of dedicated citizens, and run exclusively on volunteerism and donations, Redding Grange strives to serve as a backbone nonprofit organization for the town of Redding and beyond.

Grange membership is non-exclusive. Members are not limited by age, gender, culture, race or faith.
